Observing the art on the walls of so many celebrities and professional people during Zoom conferences or their guest appearances on TV news and talk shows these past several months has piqued much interest in obtaining and investing in fine works of art.
As this is the first Art Frontier Monthly Newsletter, I wanted to include a brief note about myself:
I am an active art collector based in New York city, having moved on from a successful career as a Managing Director in the Banking Industry and in Public Accounting. While a busy professional, I established a diverse and important collection of emerging contemporary art over a period of ten years through my engagement and active participation in the art world. Being an accountant and former banking professional, I am acutely aware of the need to build and maintain trusting and professional relationships with my clients. As the founder of Art Frontier LLC, I am now sharing my experience with new collectors.
Collecting art is an exciting and fulfilling activity where one becomes immersed in learning about the artists practices, their creative inspiration and their growth as artists. We all have different tastes and my role, initially, is to discuss with and show my clients a broad selection of art images to ascertain where to begin your collection. Over time we can together agree on selected works of art that you may add to your collection.
Here are a few selected images from my personal art collection that I have acquired early in the artist’s careers.
Esteban Ocampo Giraldo | Mosca En Elementales, 2015
Adam Winner | Blasts and Fogs, 2015
Julie Curtiss | Braid Head, 2016
As the art world gradually begins to reopen, I will be back to actively visiting the New York galleries and selected artist’s studios and will share my observations directly with my clients and through this Newsletter.
